More than 4,000 people march for immigrant rights on May 1, 2022, in a Milwaukee demonstration organized by Voces de la Frontera. On Thursday, Jan. 2, the Biden administration announced new policies that combine broader opportunities for immigrants from several countries to legally enter the U.S. with swifter expulsion for migrants attempting to cross the southern border without going through official procedures.
