Angela Bradbery

Angela Bradbery worked as a progressive communicator for more than 20 years before joining academia this year. She was communications director at Public Citizen in Washington, D.C., for 14 years and had other communications roles there before becoming director. While in D.C., she co-founded a nonprofit advocacy organization, Smokefree DC, and helped lead the successful campaign for a smoke-free workplace law in the District. Prior to that, she was a newspaper reporter for 10 years. She started in August 2020 as the endowed chair in public interest communications at the University of Florida, teaching and expanding the academic program in public interest communications.
