Jonathan Stefonek

Reporter Jonathan Stefonek lives in Portage and writes on public safety and legal affairs in the greater Madison area. Over the past ten years he has reported for the Iowa Center for Public Affairs Journalism in Iowa City, China Daily in Beijing, 21st Century Business Herald in Shanghai, and more recently reported for the Portage Daily Register and Capital Newspapers. He's a graduate of of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he was often heard on WRFW-River Falls and later completed the University of Iowa's master of journalism program where he focused on multimedia cross-cultural reporting.
