Rep. Scott Krug (R-Nekoosa) gave the Republican Radio Address, posted Friday, announcing a new honor that the legislature will be awarding first responders.

Citing first responders heroic actions on 9-11, and other tragedies where these public servants are in the spotlight, Krug called for stories about “law enforcers, EMTs and firefighters all over our great state” from each of the Wisconsin legislative districts.

“We want to hear your stories,” said Krug. “Do you know of someone responsible for a heroic action or professional achievement? Is there someone in your community who has dedicated their life to keeping people safe?

“Please contact your state representative and submit a nomination. We will honor one winner from each district this fall, here at the Capitol. We look forward to meeting these Wisconsin heroes, and expressing our gratitude for all they do.”
